The Fourth Grade English Teacher

For two days last

my droopy late eyes

could not see her no

more, see the one

who used to appear

often; peach faced beautiful

lass,

but instead

all I see are, inside

an abandoned

frail building that is

almost losing hope,

many pairs of lively

little eyes

and bleach-teeth; not

more than

half of me, and

amongst them

a beautiful little princess

whom upon our first

rendezvous, her heart

spoke these lines:

My name is Vaishnavi

I am 10 years old”.
